To ensure the protection of the individual rights and interests that can assert under the Personal Data Protection Act and to establish a more appropriate scope regarding the usage and analysis of personal data and case information, the retention periods have been defined for "HELLO TAIPEI - the Taipei City Simple Petition System.” The details are as follows:

Personal data: The personal data will be kept and utilized for a period not exceeding five years after the completion of the case. At the end of this period, the system will automatically delete all the personal data and retain only the basic case information.

Case information: The data will be kept and utilized for a period not exceeding ten years after the completion of the case. At the end of this period, the system will automatically delete all the case information, and it will no longer be possible to query or access the case information through any means.

Due to the need to align with the development of system functionalities, a buffer period of one year has been assigned for upgrading with the automatic deletion feature. Once the system functionality is updated, starting from July 1, 2024, all the data deletions will be scheduled and carried out automatically by the system.
